മുംബൈയില്‍ നിന്നൊരു മെയില്‍

യാഹൂഗ്രൂപ്പില്‍ ഒരു സുഹൃത്ത് മുംബൈയില്‍ നിന്നും അയച്ച ഒരു മൈയില്‍ ഇവിടെയും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

Dear Friends,

Last night I was woken up by my daughter saying that she’s heard sounds of gunfire.

Her room overlooks the VT station and our house is about 400 metres from Metro cinema.

The news on TV showed that miscreants had entered the station and were shooting indiscriminately.

News of incidents near Metro, Cama hospital also came in.

My daughter was in tears and shaken, as these are the places she passes on her way as she walks to her college.

I consoled her by showing her the visuals of the Police in readiness, and told her see Hemant uncle has gone there, now all will be ok..

We could see him donning his helmet and taking command.

An hour later, after my daughter slept, I saw the news that two of my friends Hemant Karkare & Ashok Kamte had been killed.

I’m just not able to believe this.

Hemant was DCP during my first posting.

We used to take walks together.

Ashok was my SP.

Let the negative forces try their level best.

We should never lose our sanity in the face of extreme provocation.

Let not provocation make us violent and revengeful.

For that is what they want.

And they should and will NEVER succeed.

For they are with diseased minds.

And we must stand for a healthy and happy humanity.
